Just yesterday, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake rocked Davao Oriental, as reported by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. The incident happened around 3:13 in the afternoon.

Amidst the chaos, a video surfaces online featuring three women having a great time inside a karaoke booth before the quake startled them.

In the video, it can be seen that two women are singing the song “Nang Dahil SaPag-ibig” but just within a span of minutes, they were shocked upon feeling that intense earthquake.

They panicked and went out of the booth to find a safe place.

Some netizens even jokingly blamed the three girls for the earthquake that happened while they were singing.

The quake, with epicenter located in Manay, Davao Oriental, was said to be tectonic in origin and involves an active fault.

The earthquake was felt at an Intensity II in Cotabato City and General Santos City; Intensity III in Tupi, South Cotabato, Intensity IV in Davao City, Koronadal City, Bislig City; and Intensity V in Mati, Davao Oriental.

Science and Research analyst of PHIVOLCS, John LerryDeximo advised the public to be extra careful as aftershocks are generally expected.

He also said that the sea is currently under observation for a tsunami but there is no unusual increase in the height of the wave.

In times of natural disasters like earthquakes, it is recommended to move to an open ground to avoid any falling objects.
