A flight attendant didn’t hesitate to offer her breastmilk to a baby who ran out of formula milk.

Facebook user PatrishaOrgano posted on Facebook how she rescued a baby who wouldn’t stop crying because she was hungry. According to Organo, she heard a faint cry while on board Philippine Airlines domestic flight on November 6.

The stewardess immediately figured out that the faint cry was “a cry that will make you want to do anything to help.”

Right then, she approached the mother of the baby who came from the North and was traveling only with her baby.

“I tried to tell her to feed her hungry child. Teary-eyed, she told me that she ran out of formula milk. Passengers started looking and staring at the tiny, fragile crying infant,” says Organo. “I felt a pinch in my heart. There’s no formula milk onboard,” says the kind-hearted stewardess.

Organo was scheduled for a “check flight” that day. Despite that, her motherly instinct came first. She herself is an advocate of breastfeeding and without hesitation, offered her own milk to lessen the worries of both mother and infant.

“The baby started rooting, she was so hungry,” she recalls. “I saw the relief on her mother’s eyes. I continued to feed the baby until she fell asleep.”

After feeding the baby, Organo escorted the child and the mother to their seats. The mother of the baby thanks to her wholeheartedly for the kind gesture.

Organo is a first-time mom to a 9-month-old daughter.

“More than inspired, I have a mother’s heart that knows what the baby needs,” she wrote.
