Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has raised from one of the worst airports in the world into becoming better and more presentable especially to visitors of the country.

However, there is still a continuous anomaly that lingers around NAIA. Several cases of robbery were reported among Overseas Filipino Workers. Victims of ‘salisi gang’ and ‘budo-budol gang’ cry for help after becoming a victim and losing their value as well as hard-earned money just in a blink of an eye.

As for the taxis in NAIA, you can’t easily find a metered taxi because most of the taxis outside are asking for a higher amount and not basing on their meters.

Facebook user Azuela Salva posted her dismay on Facebook after encountering this situation. According to her, the taxis do not want to use their taxi meters but sets a price as per destination instead.

This modus was long-since exposed to the public. The management of NAIA said that they already addressed the issue but unfortunately, the problem still persists up to these days.

These taxis ask for higher payment and will refuse to give you a ride if you disagree. Most of the victims of these taxi drivers are OFWs who are vacationing in the Philippines, taking a break from their hectic jobs abroad.

But what do they get? They are greeted with this money making scheme just trying to extort their hard-earned money.

Salva is also calling the attention of President Duterte to resolve this issue.
