There’s no denying that a mother’s love knows no boundaries. Definitely, there’s no exception to this mom who carried her paralyzed son for 15 long years.

Juan Carlos Argarin was paralyzed at a very young age. But he wanted to go to school and finish his studies. That’s when his mother decided to become his “legs”.

Cristina, the mother of Juan Carlos, carried him to school so he can attend classes and takes him home afterward. At first, he got ashamed to go out because whenever he goes, he needs to be carried.

Juan Carlos became paralyzed when he was just 5 years old. He was just playing sipa-sipa at that time when he has pushed accidentally. He fell into the ground and failed to walk for the entire day.

According to the doctor, his spinal cord got damaged from the accident and surgery can cure it. However, even after it, Juan Carlos never walked again.

Despite having a paralyzed leg, Juan Carlos and his mother persevered to go to school and the latter carried him every day. They couldn’t use a wheelchair because their school only have stairs to walk on to.

Eventually, as the years go by, the challenges become harder for the two. Juan Carlos slowly gained weight as he grew up.

Their family also lives in a downhill place so they have to climb 40 steep steps just to get to the road. There was also a time when Juan Carlos was still in Grade 5, they stumbled down on one rainy day.

Juan Carlos, on the other hand, had to wake up early for school and crawls to the bathroom to take a bath. The younger brother of Juan Carlos also helps in carrying his brother to school. He even quit his own studies just to help his brother.

Carrying Juan Carlos is never an easy thing for the 55-year-old mother.

Recently, Juan Carlos visited a doctor and he revealed the real status of his condition.

According to the doctor, the real culprit was not the accident but the Pott’s Disease or a form of tuberculosis that affects his vertebrae, making him unable to walk.

On the moving up ceremony of Juan Carlos, his school didn’t just honor him for the hard worked he did but also for his mother Cristina who carried him throughout the years.

The KMJS Team, a TV show in the Philippines, offered a scholarship for Juan Carlos and a job after his graduation in college.
