There are a lot of Filipinos who aspire to work abroad. However, by the time they know how hard it is to work and deal with foreign employers, they get to realize how hard it is to become an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

Facebook user Precyjen Jen Afos Ramirez took to Facebook to share her experiences as an OFW and also showed the result of her hard work.

In the Facebook post, Ramirez posted her hands with open wounds and sore which could be the result of too much hard work or allergy to soup and detergents that she usually uses.

Ramirez points out that she is really having a hard time especially when her hands get soaked with water as this could be really painful to her.

Despite the pain that she had to go through each and every time her hand gets contact with water, Ramirez remains positive especially because her contract will soon end within three months. She is happy that finally, she can return to the Philippines and be with her family again.

This is just one of the many sacrifices of OFWs for their families in the Philippines. This mother’s day, don’t forget to say thank you and I love you to your mother who worked so hard in another country to support your financial needs. Those simple words mean a lot to them!
