A Filipino worker in Saudi Arabia got a rather unusual donor who volunteered to pay his hospital bills. The kind-hearted person was none other than the Saudi prince and Governor of Asis province.
Philippine Ambassador Adnan Alonto was surprised when he received a call coming from the office of Prince TurkiBinTalal bin Aziz Al Saud saying that they will sponsor the medical expenses as well as the airlift of the patient.
“Walang facility ang hospital saAsirnamagsagawa ng open heart surgery. Ininformako ng opisinaniyanaipadalasiyaritosa Riyadh si Ted,” says Alonto during a Facebook live interview.
Both Ted and Alonto were surprised upon receiving the call as everything needed for the operation will be sponsored by the Saudi prince.

“Talagang nabigla ako doon. Si Ted nga hindi ma explain kung ano ang ginawa niya para madeserve niy aito,” Alonto said.
Ted works as a technician in Saudi Arabia for 31 years already. His wife, on the other hand, also works in Saudi Arabia as a nurse.
“Si Ted po is in stable condition nakapagsalita naman siya kasama ang kanyang asawa,” says Alonto.

Alonto also said in his Twitter post:
“Miracles do happen every day. Visited fellow Filipino whose open heart surgery will be shouldered by Prince Turki bin Talal Al Saud, Governor of the Assir Region. Alhamdulillah!”
As of the moment, the Filipino already had successful bypass surgery as posted Alonto on Twitter.

“Posing with our kabayan who just had a successful heart bypass surgery courtesy of Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Life is good.”
