A police officer was after allegedly extorting money from an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).
According to reports, agents from the PNP-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) tasked to intercept scalawag policemen were able to arrest a certain Maj. Raul Salle.
Salle, the deputy chief Highway Patrol Group (HPG) Operations Management Division, was accused of extorting money after the Mitsubishi Pajero of Ma. April Ochenta was stolen.
It is said that Ochenta went to the police for investigation but Salle insisted that she needs to pay P140,000 before the investigation and recovery will take place.
Ochenta said that she does not have the said amount as of the moment but Salle suggested that she can borrow P70,000 to a civilian employee of HPG identified only as Alex.
Soon after, Ochenta sent the payment for the borrowed money through Salle. But it is said that Alex never received the payment. Alex confronted Salle who simply said that he does not have money at the moment.

Salle again suggested to handover her Mitsubishi Adventure as he will be the one to pawn it and pay Alex. But the OFW from Canada found out that the vehicle was not pawned and was only used as a personal vehicle of Salle as it was seen parked in front of HPG headquarters and was driven along Edsa.
When confronted, Ochenta insisted that the vehicle was pawned for P300,000. Last April, the OFW went to the HPG office to claim her vehicle but Salle denied returning it. Instead, he demanded a payment of P300,000 that soon raised to P440,000 because of “interest”.
Ochenta decided to report the incident to the PNP-IMEG and an entrapment operation was conducted. The suspect was arrested and currently facing towering charges.
