The Passport Online Appointment System in Hong Kong started its operations since July 14, 2019. With this, Filipinos in Hong Kong will no longer have to go on long queues as they will only set their appointment through the online system.

Here are the steps to getting a passport appointment online.

  1. Visit
  2. You will be redirected to the website of the Philippine Consulate General
  3. Click the “Schedule an Appointment” and read the information as well as reminders. Click the box stating that you understand the entire process.
  4. Type in your email address. Use Gmail or Yahoomail addresses only.
  5. Open your email and find the “DFA Passport Appointment System” message.
  6. Click on the link inside the message to schedule an appointment.
  7. Pick the desired time and date for your passport appointment. Click “Next”.
  8. Select the “Application Type” based on your needs. If renewal, type in the old passport number, date of birth and last name. Click “Next”.
  9. In the personal page, type in all the information needed. Click “Next”.
  10. In the parental page, make sure that the details are the same as with your birth certificate. Click “Next”.
  11. In the contact page, fill in the necessary information then click “Next”.
  12. You will be taken to the “Summary Page” to make sure that the information is written is all correct. Answer the captcha code and click the box confirming that you understand and agree to regulation upon getting a passport. Click “Confirm”.
  13. Read the important reminders when applying for a passport. You can also print the page to download the application form. It will also be sent to your email.

Personally show up at the Philippine Consulate General at windows 6 or 7 on the date and time that you picked. Bring the passport as well as the printed documents. Pay the necessary amount and go to the passport encoding section.
