Facebook user Tine Meran is crying for help as she describes their situation as ‘severe’ due to the number of distressed OFWs living together in a small space inside POLO Qatar.

According to Meran, currently, there are 200 OFWs accommodated by the office, some had been there for a year and others had been there as long as 8 months. There are also OFWs with cases that are already closed are yet to be repatriated back to the Philippines.

This resulted in a crowded situation as they are just staying inside a small room. Meran is also concerned of other OFWs who had bruises and taken advantaged by their employers as they are just sitting idly there, without being offered much help.

Meran also pinpointed how they are treated once they try to report their situation. According to her, if word gets out regarding their real situation in POLO Qatar, they are intimidated and scolded.

The OFW didn’t know where to go as even the government agency in Qatar which is supposed to care for them are treating them less than a person.

Meran calls for the replacement of officials in both Embassy and POLO in Qatar, hoping that their situation will get elevated.

PANAWAGAN SA GOBYERNO!!!! ITO PO ANG SITWASYON NMIN DTO SA LOOB NG QATAR, POLO.. OVER 200 PLUS DISTRESS OFW ANG…
