A Filipino in Hong Kong was arrested by the police over allegations of burglary in a building at Cheung Chau Island.

The incident that happened last August 28 involved a certain Teofilo Pila, 28-year-old, a Filipino who works as a bartender in Central Hong Kong. He appeared in front of Magistrate Bina Chainrai last August 30.

According to The Sun HK, Pila went up to the second floor of the building with an intention to steal. He tried to escape by breaking into a room but witnesses identified him even before the police intercepted him.

The case of Pila will be heard after eight weeks as the prosecution requested for it to further have an enquiry as well as wait for the release of the fingerprint and the DNA reports coming from the investigators.

Pila will not be released through bail but he can still apply for a bail application at the Court of First Instance.

In another report, a video of a Filipina pleading her employers after she was caught stealing cash from them. The country where she was working but her employers are foreigners who are obviously very mad at her.

Despite her pleas, her employer still decided to call the police. The Filipina said that she resorts to stealing to give money to her son in the Philippines.
