Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) offers a rebate program to members for 10 years and above.

OWWA Rebate is in line with the Republic Act 10801 also known as the OWWA Act. This is given to OWWA members for 10 years or more that haven’t received any benefits or programs from the agency.

The amount that a member will receive will be determined based on the intensive actuarial study to avoid affecting other programs of the agency.

According to the study, about PhP1 billion will be used as funds for the rebate program of OWWA. This amount will be given to the 556,000 beneficiaries of the rebate program before the cut-off last December 2017. Another PhP2 billion is allocated for the next batch of recipients.

Who can benefit from the OWWA Rebate?

  • OFW members for 10 years and above
  • OFW members who paid 5 or more OWWA contributions
  • OFW members who failed to receive any benefits from OWWA or other programs

How much is the OWWA Rebate?

Qualified OFWs will receive a minimum of PhP941.25 and as much as PhP13,177.50 for the maximum contribution which is 70.

OWWA also raise a notice that this OWWA rebate is not a refund nor a cashback.
