It seems like Saudi Arabia takes over Kuwait when it comes to the number of Filipino domestic helpers being treated badly by their employers.

In recent years, Kuwait is always seen over the news about domestic helpers being treated badly resulting in the worst scenarios. Fortunately, such incidents were put to rest after President Duterte implemented a total deployment ban of Overseas Filipino Workers to Kuwait.

However, it might have ended the growing number of cases of distressed OFWs in Kuwait but Saudi Arabia is taking over its place.

Another OFW in Saudi Arabia is asking for help because they were forced to work without a contract and was beaten by broom which ended up broken.

According to the OFW, they were told by the manager of their employment agency in Saudi to clean a house by which they obediently agreed. However, as it turns out, they were just lured out into that house and was never sent back to their agency.

They refused to do household chores unless they’ll be returned to the agency. This angered their ‘employer’ and they were hit by a broom stick. They acquired bruises all over their body.

All they want now is to be returned to their agency and get proper employment. They are also afraid of being sold to another employer.
