Gone were the days when Kuwait is always the talk of the town when it comes to Filipino domestic helpers being treated badly by their employers.

Now, a video of a Filipina domestic helper in Kuwait who is very happy with her employer surfaces online.

In the video, a woman can be seen holding flowers which were from her employer. They also gave her cake to thank her for all the years that she spent to care for the family of her employer.

The Filipina in the video spent 13 years of her life to serving her Kuwaiti sponsor who was kind enough to throw a farewell party for her. The OFW will be returning to the Philippines for good.

She couldn’t help but cry upon seeing the things which were prepared by her employer for her. The Kuwaiti sponsor wishes her the best in life with her family in the Philippines.

Last year, a total deployment ban to Kuwait was implemented by the Philippine government after the case of Joanna Demafelis, the OFW who was placed inside the freezer by her employers in Kuwait. The ban was the only lifter after several talks and the signing of the memorandum of understanding of both countries.

Recently, the court in Lebanon found the employer of Demafelis guilty of the incident.
