The local government of Cabuyao, Laguna helped an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who was forced to work without enough rest that led to bleeding.

Regina Hernandez finally got to see her family in the Philippines after working as a domestic helper in Riyadh. While she was abroad, the Filipina experienced bleeding. She believes that it resulted in too much work as she was not given day-offs, lack of sleep and food.

According to Hernandez, she was forced to clean three houses every day. The agency of the OFW refused to help her.

Additionally, her employer got angry because of the contraceptive implant attached to Hernandez’s arms. The contraceptive implant was attached to her one year before she went to Riyadh.

The mother of three claims that nobody said that she needs to remove the implant before going to Riyadh. She also passed the medical examination and her doctors didn’t advise her to remove the implant. The wound from her implant started bleeding when she started working abroad.

Hernandez asked her agency for help and repatriation but they will only allow it after she pays them. In the end, her employer got pity and returned her to the agency.

Through the help the local government of Laguna, POEA and other concerned citizens, Hernandez finally returned to the Philippines.
