A picture of a Filipina domestic helper went viral after she was forced to stay outside her employer’s flat in Hong Kong.

In the picture, a woman can be seen sitting on the floor, just outside her employer’s flat. It is also said that the woman was made to sleep there by her employer.

The woman is identified as Lorna from Capiz, Philippines. An officer at the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) was able to have a word with Lorna. The OFW said that she was just throwing trash when her employer locked the door.

“She said whenever she makes mistakes, the employer would make her write down as if she was a kid,” says the OCG officer.

The employer of the Filipina also cannot use her mobile phone as it was kept by her employer who also refuses to give her enough food.

The church Jesus is Lord (JIL) helped Lorna but the OFW decided to return to her employer’s house even after the incident.

“She said she would report to Immigration (tomorrow). We are monitoring this. Dapatumalisnasiyabagolumala,” says a reliable source.

Once Lorna decides to leave her employer, the PCG is willing to assist her. According to records, Lorna has been working as a domestic helper since 1995. She’s been working with her current employer for 5 months already.
