Raising your concerns and inquiries of Overseas Filipino Workers will now be a lot more convenient as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) launches a mobile application to cater to such incidents.

The application provides easy access to hotline numbers and even contact information of the labor department as well as the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLO) across the world.

“This application is intended to provide a major channel for our workers and OFWs to get in touch with DOLE and the POLO. Through the use of modern technology, they can relay their labor-related concerns and complaints,” says Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III.

OFWs can lodge their complaints and employer’s violation at the mobile app by filling up a form which is available in the app.

For easy tracking of the person in need of help, she can simply open the GPS location available on her mobile. Meanwhile, it is also capable of locating the nearest POLO.

Another great feature of this application is the “Wage Calculator” where employees can total their wages plus their overtime and holiday pays as well as their deductions.

To know more about the rights and benefits of workers, you can also check the “Handbook for Workers’ Statutory Monetary Benefits – 2019 Edition” from the mobile app.

Not just that! The app also features a “hot jobs” button that gives its user fast access to PhilJobNet’s website where thousands of job vacancies are available every day.

The mobile app will be formally launched by next month, during DOLE’s 86th anniversary. It can be downloaded for free from App Store for Apple devices and Google Play Store for Android devices.
