Steps on How To Renew Philippine Passport in Saudi Arabia

  1. Secure and appointment online

Passport online appointments are only available for applicants in the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh. Those who will apply at the Philippine Consulate in Jeddah will no longer have to set an appointment.

Check the ePassport Appointment System to secure a slot beforehand. If you are a first-timer, you will have to register your email address to create an account.

You may now log-in using your registered email once the account has been created. You will now make an online appointment for the renewal of your passport. Once booked, you can get an email confirmation and instructions that come along with the message.

  1. Visit the Philippine Embassy, Philippine Consulate or a Consular Outreach site

For applicants at the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, it is advised to arrive at the office 15 to 30 minutes before your schedule. Please don’t forget to bring your Iqama as it is necessary for the guest ID.

Submit all the requirements except the old passport as you will use it when claiming your new passport.

  1. Go to the Encoding Area

This time, the information you have provided at the application form will now be encoded to the computer. You will also be asked to provide your biometrics and capture your photo.

  1. Payment

The payment for the Philippine Passport renewal is SAR 240.

  1. Ready For Pick Up

Passport renewals will be available for release after six to eight weeks. Check the website of the Philippine Consulate/Embassy for updates.

  1. Consular Outreach Program

The Philippine Consulate and Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia usually hold passport renewal services and other consular services in different parts of Saudi Arabia. If they are near your area, it will be more convenient for you rather than submitting you’re application forms at the Consulate and Embassy. However, if you are planning to go to an outreach program, you need to book an online appointment first. You may check updates and other consular schedules on the Facebook page of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah and the Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

Tips: It is very important not to schedule more than one appointment. The Embassy only allows one application per applicant. In case you missed an appointment, you need to cancel your first appointment before booking a new one.
