The world was rocked when news of Kobe Bryant helicopter crash hit the Internet. Bryant together with other eight people, including his 13-year-old daughter lost their lives on the accident. Filipino fans were among those who mourned the passing of the NBA star.

It was found out that one of the victims of the crash was a half-Filipina basketball coach identified as Christina Mauser. She is a coach at the Mamba Academy, a school that Bryant co-owned. The news was confirmed by her cousin who was heartbroken upon hearing the news.

“We are beyond heartbroken,” says Ramil in a Facebook post.

The husband of Mauser together with their two children said that they are truly “devastated” on the sudden passing of their beloved.

“We lost our beautiful wife and mom,” her husband wrote in a Facebook post.

Survivors were not recorded on the freak accident that claimed the lives of Bryant and Mauser. It is said that their aircraft crashed in foggy weather at the suburb of Calabasas, creating a bush fire.

Bryant is a 5-time NBA champion together with the Los Angeles Lakers. He also got 2 Olympic medals.

He is flying with his 13-year old daughter to a game where the younger Bryant was supposed to play.
