HONG KONG – Another Filipina domestic helper becomes infected by the novel coronavirus, says the Information Office of the Department of Health.

The 29-year-old domestic helper is already the 90th person to get infected by the virus in Hong Kong. She came in contact with an infected person through her 60-year-old employer who is also the 85th case of coronavirus in the country. The employer is also a member of Hong Kong Jockey Club.

However, reports confirmed that the Filipina is in stable condition and said to have “good past health” according to the Centre for Health Protection. She lived with her employer at Block 4, Swiss Towers at 113 Tai Hang Road, Tai Hang.

She first had a fever on February 16 and was immediately taken to the Ruttonjee Hospital in HK last Feb. 25. Before her, another Filipina domestic helper was also confirmed to have contracted the virus. She tested positive last Feb. 18 and lives at Quarry Bay with her employer who also has the same virus.

If there are newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19, there are also who were already discharged from the hospital after recovering from the virus. In fact, the Filipina who was previously confirmed to have contacted the virus already recovered and was released from the hospital after testing negative.
