More than 300 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) from the Middle East were stranded on their way to Nasugbu, Batangas.

The said OFWs were stranded because the residents of Lian, Batangas where the hotel is located for the OFWs temporary accommodation as they will undergo a 14-day quarantine, stopped the convoy. There are 13 buses full of OFWs who cannot enter the hotel from 3 in the morning.

200 OFWs who came from Saudi Arabia complained of hunger and tiredness ever since they arrived in the Philippines. The group of OFWs left Riyadh on April 21, around 11 p.m.

They arrived yesterday, April 22, from Saudi Arabia around 2 pm. They stayed inside the airport until 10 in the evening for the bus that will take them to the holding facility in Batangas. From there, they will stay for 14 days for their quarantine period. There are 20 pregnant women and children inside the bus.

Netizens, Aldrin Castillo, and Erwin Manic shared the video around six in the morning. In the video, a couple of buses were seen along the street. The primary complaints of these OFWs are lack of sleep, rest, and food. According to them, they were denied entry of the residents and the hotels which was supposed to be their accommodation throughout the quarantine period.

They are calling for help as soon as possible as there are no officials from OWWA who were there when they arrived, only bus drivers who took them to their destinations.
