A young Filipino boy who contracted COVID-19 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates reportedly recovered as confirmed by the Philippine Embassy.

Baby Zaine is only one year and six months when he contracted COVID-19 and eventually recovered making him the youngest survivor of a novel coronavirus in UAE.

The baby boy first tested positive after going through seven COVID-19 examinations conducted by SEHA, an Abu Dhabi Health Services Company. She was inside the isolation with him mother who has very mild symptoms of the virus. Baby Zaine got treated for three weeks.

According to Philippine Ambassador to UAE Hjayceelyn Quintana, she is thankful to God for the miracle he gave to Baby Zaine.

“I, therefore, urge Filipinos in the UAE to remain vigilant in exercising COVID-19 precautions such as hand-washing, wearing of facial masks, social distancing, and avoiding going outside one’s home unnecessarily,” says the ambassador.

Currently, there are 2,966 cases of COVID-19 patients who recovered in the country while the total cases raise to 14,730. 137 patients succumbed to the disease in the UAE.
