For the past months, Saudi Arabia has implemented a travel ban to countries with the most number of COVID-19 cases. Finally, the long wait is over as the Saudia airline resumes its international flights to 20 different destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The Saudia Airline is the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia and they finally permitting travelers to travel to Cairo, Amman, Alexanderia, Dubai, Tunis, Khartoum, Addis, Ababa, Nairobi, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Paris, Jakarta, Washington, D.C, Islamabad, Kuala Lumpur, Karachi, and Metro Manila.
It can be recalled that Saudi Arabia lifted the ban partially since Sept.15, after six months of the travel restrictions which was strictly imposed following the rise of COVID-19 cases in the country.
It is expected that by Jan. 1, all travel restrictions – sea, air, and land – as confirmed by the Interior Ministry. The official announcement will be done anytime in December.

Meanwhile, a call has been done by the General Directorate of Passports (GDP) towards expats and Saudis who were traveling from Saudi Arabia to secure their health requirements, committing to the directives as well as regulations of the country.
Aside from the previous requirements, there are additional procedures that need to be undergone to be able to stop the spread of the disease as well as ensuring the safety of the passengers amidst the pandemic.
