Operatives from the National Bureau of Investigation arrested a woman in Tarlac. The Filipina allegedly pretends to be capable of sending Pinoy nurses to Canada in exchange for PhP500,000.

According to GMA News, the suspect was identified as Maria Girly Manaloto Quiambao. She was arrested thru an entrapment operation.

Operatives were able to retrieve from Quiambao’s possession the marked money, mobile phone, and her fake Department of Public Works and Highways Identification Card.

According to the NBI, the suspect promised a nursing job in Canada if they can pay her P500,000.

Aside from the illegal recruitment issue, Quiambao will also face estafa after selling a land property but later on went away with the money.

The suspect denied to issue an explanation for the cases she is facing. Other victims are also encouraged to reach to the authorities to file more cases against the suspect.
