Because the employer regularly pulls the hair of an Overseas Filipino Worker in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, she is slowly losing her hair and becoming bald.
According to reports OFW Norhanie Maulana Gani confessed about the maltreatment she is suffering at the hands of her employer. Through the help of Ako OFW by Dr. League Umandap, the case of Norhanie was escalated to the office of Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III and POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia.
POEA meanwhile promptly responded to the case of Norhanie and confirmed that it was forwarded to the POEA Repatriation Unit. Meanwhile, OWWA Welfare Officer sent an update regarding the immediate rescue of the OFW into their designated shelter for her protection.
AKOOFW also reached out for expert advice from a doctor who confirmed that the OFW might be suffering from Alopecia. This is a condition in which several parts of the head are slowly losing hair. It can be caused by your immune system attacking your hair follicles or the roots of the hair causing baldness.
This might be the possible cause for the condition of the OFW. Meanwhile, they are still not setting aside the fact that the Filipina suffered physical abuse from her employer and that she is not given enough time to rest and food to eat.
Norhanie also confessed that her current employer is actually not her original employer because she was only sold to them.
